Legal
These are SOLO's Community Guidelines. They explain what belongs on SOLO's feeds and what doesn't, in plain language — whether you're 12 and posting to your team's feed, or a grandparent cheering from the public one.
These Guidelines are part of our Terms of Service. Using SOLO means you agree to follow them.
SOLO's public feed is where families share soccer moments with the whole signed-in SOLO community. It isn't a general social feed — every public post has to fit one of four categories:
If a post doesn't fit one of those four, or isn't actually about soccer, it doesn't belong on the public feed.
The public feed doesn't have comments — nobody can comment on a public post, so there's no place for arguments or pile-ons to happen. Reactions are positive-only, like a cheer or a high-five; there's no negative reaction to give. We built it this way on purpose: the public feed is for celebrating players, not critiquing them.
A real person reviews every public post before it goes live — nothing publishes automatically. Here's what won't make it through, or will come down if it slips past review:
Your team's feed is different from the public feed — it's private to your team, and your Coach or team manager sets the rules for it. That's where comments actually happen. It's a smaller, closer space, so be a teammate: cheer people on, keep it kind, and remember every family on that feed can see what you post.
Only upload photos and video you actually have the right to share. That includes every other kid in the frame, not just your own. If you're not sure another family would be comfortable with a photo going up, ask them first, or leave it out. See the "Uploads: rights and bystanders" section of our Terms of Service for the full rule.
See something that shouldn't be up? Use the Report button on the post. If you're reporting a safety concern, the post comes down immediately while we look into it — we don't wait.
Every report goes to a real person, not just a filter, and you can report a given post once.
Most of the time, a rejected or reported post is just removed. If it keeps happening, that's a warning. Keep breaking the rules, and posting privileges — or the account itself — can be suspended.
Anything that looks illegal, especially anything involving the sexual exploitation of a minor, isn't just deleted — it's preserved and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to law enforcement, exactly as the law requires.
Think we got a call wrong? Email teams@playsolo.soccer and tell us what happened. A real person will look at it again.
